Fishing report for August 28, 2010

The last couple weeks have been full of fast action as the silvers fill the river.  It is quite possible to catch more than you can count.  The memorable catches of the day becoming the fish that bite inches from the boat or the one that got away only to turn around and eat your spoon for a second time.  Silvers readily attack flashy spinners and spoons making for fantastic take downs and lots of hook sets.  There are many bright silver fish showing with a small percentage of pink and red spawn colored fish mixed in.  We plan on fishing from the shore tomorrow at the mouth of the Koktuli so we can cook a shore lunch and wade upstream for rainbow trout.
