The kings are here. We have been enjoying the grayling and pike fishing but nothing gets the excitement level up quite as much as knowing the next cast could be a 40 pound king or better. The kings just showed up several days ago for us here and we are not seeing the huge push upriver yet but the few we have caught have wet our appetite for more. The numbers and fishing conditions should improve daily from now until the end of July. Our local rainbow population seems to be anticipating the big run also as many of our favorite king spots have resident rainbows quick to bite any egg sucking leach and even some larger streamers.
