Today we took the boat a short way down river and walked up a small slough where we spotted sockeye and chums. We landed several with the biggest going 14 pounds. In the same spot we caught a nice Dolly Varden and spooked several pike stalking in the shallows. We are hearing fish jumping and splashing just behind where we parked the boats as we eat dinner so we plan on fishing more this evening; wish us luck!
